Functions
Provide advisory support to the Rector regarding training, professional development, and scientific research within the disciplines and specializations under the Faculty's management. Directly implement tasks related to education, research, and knowledge enhancement; manage assigned academic activities and facilities; and supervise students within the scope of delegated authority and responsibility.
The Faculty of Business Administration carries out the following functions pertaining to education and scientific research:
- Carry out the function of academic management for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral training programs in disciplines within the field of Business Administration, including Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- Promote and coordinate the implementation of scientific research functions among faculty members and students; develop research capacity; and improve the scientific research proficiency of lecturers, staff, and students.
- Collaborate with the university in implementing programs and initiatives related to student engagement; encouraging and developing student-oriented activities in accordance with the university’s orientation and plans, with the goal of enhancing and supporting learning through student movements.
Responsibilities
In accordance with the Faculty’s designated functions, the following are the specific responsibilities under its purview:
- In accordance with the academic year plan issued by the Training Department, assign faculty members to conduct teaching and supervise students in capstone projects, graduation theses, and term papers;
- Prepare contracts for inviting external lecturers in compliance with the university’s regulations, ensuring alignment with actual needs and appropriate professional qualifications.
- Manage the workload of faculty members, including teaching hours, scientific research hours, and supervision hours for capstone projects, graduation theses, and term papers.
- Maintain and archive the scientific profiles, certified copies of academic degrees, and relevant certificates of invited lecturers.
- Organize separate make-up course classes in compliance with the university’s regulations.
- Organize semester examinations in accordance with the schedule provided by the Training Department.
- Establish councils for evaluating capstone projects and theses; assign lecturers to grade graduation essays in accordance with regulations.
- Carry out procedures for referring students to practical internship institutions;
- Assign and follow up with faculty members regarding their participation in scientific research projects, in compliance with applicable regulations;
- Organize and assign academic departments to develop and archive lecture materials and curricula;
- Conduct annual teaching observations to assess the instructional quality of faculty members across the Faculty’s departments, in accordance with the university’s regulations;
- Develop program learning outcomes and curricula in alignment with societal demands (when necessary), and submit them to the University’s Scientific Council for review and approval;
- When there are changes to the training program between successive academic cohorts, the Faculty is responsible for developing substitute courses or compiling a list of courses recommended for study or examination exemption, and submitting them to the University’s Scientific Council for approval;
- Formulate plans to provide professional development and enhance the expertise of full-time faculty members;
- The Faculty shall be responsible for recommending to the Lecturer Recruitment Council the appointment of full-time lecturers or long-term contract lecturers beyond retirement age, ensuring that staffing meets the requirements for program authorization and training scale of the Faculty’s academic disciplines, in accordance with the prevailing regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training;
- Participate in student orientation at the beginning of the academic program and in graduation activities at the conclusion of the program;
- Participate in the development and proposal of new academic program codes;
- Participate in admission consulting and student recruitment activities;
- Ensure the maintenance and safeguarding of equipment and property under the management of the Faculty.
