- General introduction.
International Business is an exciting field that generates significant foreign currency income for the country and offers high earning potential for participants.
The curriculum covers general issues of international economics and global economic development trends in the context of globalization; economic integration; and the state of international investment in Vietnam. Through studying program, participants are equipped knowledge and skills necessarily to become professional import-export specialists or international trade managers.
Moreover, participants are provided depth, practical knowledge and skills to perform various tasks related to international business at companies, enterprises, and economic organizations both domestically and internationally.
Students are equipped with advanced knowledge in areas such as: international economics, globalization, international business management, international finance, international payments, international investment, international marketing, foreign trade operations, customs procedures, and negotiation techniques in business.
The teaching staff consists of experienced professionals with practical and research backgrounds. Specialized courses are delivered by experts from agencies, research institutes, and well-known domestic and international entrepreneurs. The program’s practical components are strongly supported and advised by the Vietnam Institute for Logistics Research and Development (VLI) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
- Program structure
The Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration (full-time) is organized based on the credit system, with total of 141 credits. The duration of the program is 3.5 years, with three main semesters for each year.
- Teaching method
The teaching methodology is modern and learner-centered, which can be considered a strength of Tay Do University—true to its name: modern and proactive. This approach emphasizes the evolving roles of both learners and instructors. Accordingly, students play a greater role in managing their own learning, while instructors shift from being the sole source of knowledge to becoming facilitators who guide learners in accessing and exploring available knowledge sources.
Before discussing main contains of each subject, students are introduced to the course content and guided on self-study methods. Key issues are raised by the lecturers to encourage students to explore in advance and engage in in-class discussions. This approach fosters independent thinking and self-reliance among students. In addition, students have opportunities to participate in seminars, thematic discussions, and undertake internships at enterprises and organizations during their final year.
